The case of the reference 8171 comprises three distinct components: the lugs, which were separately welded, the middle case, and the case back. This model was crafted in yellow gold, pink gold, and stainless steel. It is estimated that only around 350 yellow gold cases were ever manufactured, adding to its rarity and desirability.
