Jean Claude Killy is one of the legendary Olympic Ski champions who has one of the longest member of Rolex Board of Directors for over 40 years. He has been featured in Rolex ads over the years and became the icon of the chronograph honoring him next to the Paul Newman Daytona. The name represents Rolex Dato Compax which represents the Rolex family featured manual winding chronograph with complete calendar.
The highly collectible Rolex Oyster Chronograph Anti-Magnetique "Jean Claude Killy" Model 6036 was launched in early 1950s for only five years. Estimated only 380 pieces in stainless steel was produced and approximate 60 were discovered in the market. Earlier model features the smaller gilt finish square markers which better complement the neater dimensions. The watch housed a Valjoux 72C movement, considered one of the most sophisticated and complex movements ever to be used by Rolex.

Dial: Excellent clean aged condition creamy dial along with matching blue steel and steel hands; the dial has a bit of discoloration giving it a sand stardust finish; the chronograph hand has turned into a purplish color (please view detail photos for actual condition)
