Story of the Watch: The first owner bought a Tudor Oyster wrist watch from a shop in Peterborough on August 21st 1956 and wrote a letter to Rolex complained about something wrong with its movement, and requested for an exchange of Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer. He noticed some irregular movement of the second hand and wrote back to Rolex.
Case: 36mm without crown; Show sign of wear with slight polish from previous; inner case back stamped 6150 IV 53
Dial: Aged Condition Gilt Dial with two tones print (Rolex Oyster Perpetual in Gold print and Explorer below in Silver Print) w/ Gilt Hands. There are oxidation and hairline spread throughout evenly on the dial which is normal from this era due to radium usage. (please view detail photos #6 – 8)
