Cartier introduced the Must De Cartier Tank timepieces during the mid-1970s, these watches were meticulously crafted using a rare Brazilian rosewood known as Palissandre De Rio, showcasing wooden side panels and a dial with a matching wood grain. The watches featured a case plated with yellow gold, along with Roman numeral hour markers and epée hands also in gold. The Tank Organic collection represented a departure from Cartier’s traditional designs, particularly those created by Jean-Jacques for Cartier London. It is one of the most unusual watches the Cartier brand has created and it was produced for one year from 1975 to 1976, before being discontinued.
