The AP 5402ST C Series Royal Oak is the original timepiece that sparked the luxury sports watch trend. Designed by Gerald Genta for Audemars Piguet, this watch was a groundbreaking creation. Its circular steel case, octagonal bezel, visible screws, and integrated bracelet became iconic features. Introduced in 1972, the Royal Oak was produced in four series: A, B, C, and D. While the A-Series is the most sought after, all versions of the ref. 5402 are highly collectible today. This particular C-Series model, dating back to the late 1970s or early 1980s, boasts the coveted ‘AP-down’ dial with the AP logo positioned above the 6 o’clock mark. Approximated 1000 pieces were produced.
